Electric11 installed six outdoor lights and replaced three weather-resistant double sockets at a home in Attleborough. The wider exterior upgrade included three replacement light switches, a fused spur, new cable routing and minor trenching. The completed work gives the customer improved patio lighting and convenient access to outdoor power.

The project
The customer wanted more practical access to lighting and power around the rear patio and exterior of the property. The existing sockets and switches required replacement, while six new customer-supplied lights needed connecting across the rear elevation.
Outdoor electrical work must account for moisture, changing temperatures and physical exposure. Electric11 therefore used IP-rated accessories in the exposed areas and planned the routes around doors, rendered walls, brickwork and rainwater pipes. This provided the required coverage without detracting from the property’s exterior.
The challenge
The rear elevation combined several different surfaces and architectural features. Cable routes needed to pass around patio doors, wall lights, external corners and downpipes while remaining accessible, supported and visually consistent.
The team also needed to distribute usable power across several parts of the patio. That required more than replacing individual accessories: the new sockets, fused spur, light fittings, switches and connecting cables had to operate as one practical exterior installation.
