Creating a protected supply to the detached garage
The garage stood away from the main house, so the team needed a permanent cable route across the front garden. Electric11 excavated a trench between the buildings, kept removed soil on protective sheets and planned the route around the existing landscaping.

Installing a new garage consumer unit
A new consumer unit was installed to serve the electrical equipment at the detached garage. This local distribution point supports the incoming supply and gives the charging circuit an organised connection close to the zappi.
Combining the garage board with the underground cable route created a complete electrical pathway from the main property to the charger position. It also avoided treating the wallbox as an isolated accessory when the project required wider infrastructure.
Mounting the Myenergi zappi charger
The tethered Myenergi zappi was mounted on the brick wall between the garage openings, placing the controls and charging lead within easy reach of the parking area. The cable can be stored around the unit when it is not connected to the vehicle.
Myenergi lists the single-phase zappi at 7 kW, with ECO, ECO+ and FAST charging modes. Its smart features can support scheduled charging and can also work with compatible solar generation if renewable energy is added to the property later.

The completed result
The homeowner now has a dedicated 7 kW charging point positioned at the detached garage. The finished installation is supported by an upgraded main consumer unit, a new garage consumer unit and an underground supply route planned around the property layout.
